Drink.Dine.Discover. 2.0

Well hello again! I know it’s been a VERY long hiatus, and to be honest I struggled with whether to come back to this space or to begin a new blog all together. When I started this blog it was with the intention to share my favorite restaurants, cocktails and places to visit. The blog evolved from a focus on Atlanta and my weekend travels to documenting my journey to Thailand and across Southeast Asia when Ryan and I decided to pack up our lives and move across the world. With each transition this still felt like a natural outlet for me to share our adventures in Southeast Asia.

But since then so much has changed…we’ve put roots down back in Atlanta, had a baby and I’ve come into my own as a mother…while traveling is still a very important part of my life it takes on a different filter with a toddler in tow. And because of that I was not sure if this was the right place to continue telling my story, which is why I have been m.i.a. for such a long time.

But after struggling with trying to come up with a new blog title for WAY too long I decided to give it another shot here, slightly redesigning the look and starting somewhat fresh. This time around I have so much more to share than my favorite restaurants, from how we make traveling with a toddler an enjoyable experience (it’s not as difficult as you may think!) to the before and after of finishing out my carriage house (which is still in progress). I hate to say I want to transition to more of a “lifestyle” blog, I just want to share more of what is going on in my day-to-day life…where travel is still an active part of it just in a different way.

So with all that said, I am back and here are a few photos to show you what we’ve been up to lately!

Baby Jackson
We went from having a baby who sleeps through the night…

…to a stubborn toddler who lets you know when he’s over having his picture taken and has decided 2 a.m. is the best time to play
We have kept up our traveling with trips to Indiana, D.C. and New York City to see family…
…and even managed to sneak away to Grand Cayman for a long week sans baby
