That’s a wrap June…4th of July weekend

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!  I don’t know about you, but I love these abbreviated work weeks – they’re even better when the day off is midweek – here’s to hoping these next few days fly by.   Read More

My first Experience as an Airbnb Host

Just over a week ago Ryan and I pulled the trigger and listed our carriage house on Airbnb. It wasn’t 100% ready for guests but close enough that I felt confident I could put the final touches on everything before our first guest arrived.  I honestly had no idea what to expect, and assumed it would be at least a couple of weeks before we saw real traction and had someone checking in…after all this was a new listing without any reviews. Father’s Day Weekend

Sometimes I still can’t believe Ryan and I have a son and that he’s already 17 months old…I know it’s so cliché to say this, but the older I get the faster time really does fly by. Closing out May with a great weekend

I hope everyone had a great weekend! This one was one of the first in a quite a while where we didn’t have many concrete plans going into it…which made it really fun. I went to the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival, got to sleep in, we met up with friends at a neighborhood festival, checked out a new neighborhood restaurant for brunch and even had a quick trip to the zoo for Jackson.

Here’s to hoping the rest of the weekends this month can be as fun, spontaneous and refreshing as this one was. Read More

Wine project

I recently read an article about Marcos Alberti, a Brazilian photographer, who did a project on the visual impact wine has on people. I came across it through a Facebook link and found it fascinating.  As someone who really enjoys wine, I thought this could be a fun project to try myself.  So, this past Friday Ryan and I hosted a couple friends for dinner and asked if they would be willing to partake in something similar…everyone agreed.
