What I’ve been up to…

The weekend is here, we made it! Coming off of a long weekend in Chattanooga and a short three day work week, I am heading off to Florida this weekend and can’t wait for some fun in the sun and relaxation. It’s been a busy start to the year around here – January is always a bit crazy work-wise for both myself and Ryan, and on top of that we’ve had a lot going on from Jackson’s birthday to weekend trips and being slightly over committed when we are here. I have not been doing as good of a job at setting those boundaries as I had hoped this year! My 2013 year in review

Hello! I know I have been m.i.a. for a while now…we have been settling back into life in Atlanta and celebrating the holidays with family. I follow a number of blogs who have all posted their year in review and thought I would follow suit… My goal was to find one picture to represent each month of the year, but I just couldn’t do it…there were too many to choose from! Until I look a looked back through this blog it had not hit me just how much we did this past year. So here goes nothing…

Chomp and Stomp

Hello my friends! I am loving the weather right now…the cooler air always makes me crave a good home cooked meal and warm tea or apple cider. Chili is one of my favorite dishes to make this time of year. While I still haven’t had the chance to make my own batch I did make my way to Atlanta’s chili cookoff, also known as Chomp and Stomp, this past weekend. And let me tell you…I ate enough chili to satisfy my craving for at least a couple of weeks.

Wrap-up of Southeast Asia adventure

Hello! It’s been about three weeks since I’ve been back in the States…can you believe it? I swear these last eight months have just flown by! I still can’t believe I lived, worked and traveled throughout Asia and am now back in the US. I have so much more to tell you from our adventures abroad but I thought I would do an overall wrap-up post while everything is still fresh in my mind. This way I can also throw in some posts about job hunting and acclimating back into the general population. So here goes…

Leaving on a jet plane

Hello! I have been such a slacker lately when it comes to blogging…my apologies! But I am back and I have so much to share. The past month has been a whirlwind…we have traveled through Malaysia, island hopped in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea, spent some time in Bangkok and showed some dear friends around Thailand. As I write this now I am sitting in Atlanta Georgia, sipping on coffee, and trying to comprehend that I just flew across the world and am back in the United States. Did the past six and a half months really happen or did I dream it all?
